We Have Pictures!
We have posted Reunion Pictures on our Class of 73 Flickr account. You can download any picture you want for FREE! If you have any questions please let me know.
We started off the weekend with a guided tour of the "NEW" Coronado Campus. About 20 of us got to wander through the buildings that have replaced the old 100-200-300 buildings. Is doesn't look anything like it did when we went to school but it a beautiful campus.
Friday night was a beautiful night to hang out on the patio at Flicka's Baja Cantina and reminice with old/new friends. The turn out this year was not as large as past years, but those who made it had a good time. Flicka took really good care of those who were able to partake in the buffet of food.
Saturday night we moved to the Embassy Suite in Paradise Valley. (the 30th was also held there) We had another great evening poolside with food, background music, drinks and alot of remembering. There was an amazing memorial table where we could watch a slideshow on two digital picture frames of those who are no longer with us.
Sunday, those who still had some air left in them after the long weekend headed over to El Dorado Park for some R&R. Some of us managed to drag bring the kids and grandkids. A great way to finish off the GREAT weekend.
I think the highlight of the weekend was being able to reunite David Mize and his long lost class ring. We had been contacted by Alan Bateman over at coronadohigh.com that someone had found a CHS Class of 73 class ring. At the time she thought that it might have been from a guy her sister had dated "EONS" ago. We knew the initials on the ring were DKM so an email went out to see "who" might claim it and admit to being "EONS" old. I did get quite a few emails from classmates that had lost their class rings but they didn't match the details of the ring. Dave's wife, Patti, replied to the email with the ring details and it was a match. We managed to keep it a secret until Friday night when Nancy 'Kelley" Star-Cassidy made a presentation of the ring to Dave. He was quite surprised. It STILL fit and he wore it all weekend and I bet it will be on his finger for along time to come.
So the weekend was great and we all had a great time. Once we manage to get all the pictures together I will put them up here for everyone to check out. But I have to take a few days to get the stuff done that I have been putting off for the past few months. :)
For those that ordered a Memory Book and were not able to attend the reunion, I am going to get them out in the mail this week, so be looking for it.
PLEASE fill out the Update Form.
The hardest part of getting a reunion together is getting the contact information for all the alumni. There are several places that we have to look . . . Classmates.com, Reunion.com, phone books, checking with friends. Please help us out. Don't make us hunt you down. Just fill out the Update Form so we have all the class information in one database.
THANK YOU!
